Winandy Peree Catherine
Trained at the School of Contemporary Art in Luxembourg, Catherine Winandy’s focus is on the HUMAN CONDITION, especially the fragility of man.
The themes dealt with by the artist are old age, illness, loneliness, concentration camps.
The art critic BRIGITTE CAMUS writes:
“Trembling troubled figures invade the black canvas. Sometimes they are mere sketches without form, they rise like Goyan nightmares and the works of Jean Rustin, then somehow stick very lightly in our minds, the gravity of their vision notwithstanding.”
Exhibitions in Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Works in the Museum of the Resistance at Esch/Alzette
